For the 4th of July this year we were up in Midway with my family! It was a great weekend! We got up there on Friday evening and had a very fun and relaxing time! For the 4th we didn't do the traditional Simons' french toast and bacon on the coleman camping stove! Instead my mom made fabulous cinnamon rolls and a great breakfast casserole. We watched the fireworks in the middle of the road in front of my parents house and almost got ran over 4 times!!! We were able to move in time though! Lincoln slept through them this year but I am sure he will be all about them next summer!!
On Sunday my brother Gregg blessed his son Truman at church and then we had a get together afterwards at their clubhouse were they live! It was really neat because Elder Holland was in the circle for Truman's blessing!!! (He was home for the weekend and visited my parents ward) It was a great blessing and a wonderful meeting!
Lincoln had a ball just running around Grandma and Grandpa Simons' house all weekend and he picked up on going up stairs really fast...he didn't get the going back down part! Since he doesn't have stairs at his house it will have to be a skill learned while visiting people! He also had fun playing with Grandma's farm toys!!!
